Notable author of the book 'Naked Lunch'(1959) and his first novel 'Junky' (1953). Member of the 'Beat Generation' and the hippie generation. Works have had an enormous impact on modern and popular culture. Much of his written work is autobiographical and describes the drug culture of his time. Compatriot to poet Allen Ginsberg. Died from drug addiction and alcohol overdose.
