Description

Appointed to the board of East West Bancorp, Inc. (2022). Appointed by the World Health Organization (WHO) to lead the crisis communications response to China’s SARS pandemic. Organized China’s first celebrity charity function to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS and was nominated by the United Nations as a Goodwill Ambassador. Received a Gold Medal from UNAIDS for "outstanding contributions to the AIDS response" (2008). Special Representative for UNAIDS, the joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (2006).
