Playwright, screenwriter, film producer.  Nominated for Academy Awards for this screenwriting for the movies 'Gladiator', 'The Aviator', and 'Hugo'.  Notable plays include 'Red' which won six Tony Awards (2010).  Received a Golden Globe Award for the film 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' (2007).  Currently creator and writer for the television show 'Penny Dreadful', and the upcoming 'James Bond' film.
