Swimmer, competed in the 1980 Olympic Games.  Gold Medal winner, 100m and 200m freestyle, 1982 PanAm Games.  Water Polo player.  Defected to Canada.  Swimming Coach for Para-Olympic Games (1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004).  LGBTQ activist.
