Director of the doctoral program in Visual culture studies at State University of New York at Buffalo.  Former Co-curator of National Gallery's exhibition 'Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture' . The landmark exhibition is the first major museum show exploring the influence of homosexuality on modern American portraiture.
