==Description==

Musician (keyboards and percussion) and singer.  Co-founder of the pop band Bronski Beat formed in 1983 along with [[Jimmy Sommerville]] and [[Larry Steinbachek]].  The band often dealt with issues facing the LGBT+ community, famously performing at the Pits and Perverts concert in support of the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners campaign.  Notable songs include 'Smalltown Boy', and album 'The Age of Consent' (1984).  When the group was disbanded, he went on to produce for other musicians.  Born Steven Forrest.
