First Deputy Mayor, Paris.  Former Chairman, and former President of the national student union body in France, UNEF.  Former member, National Council for Higher Education and Research (Conseil National de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche), an advisory body to the French Ministry of Education (2004-2006).
