Playwright, theatre director, and author.  Notable theatre productions include 'The Light in the Piazza' (2005),'Saved or Destroyed' (2001, Obie Award), Prelude to a Kiss' (2007), 'The Dying Gaul' (1998), and 'The Secret Lives of Dentists' (2003, New York Film Critics Circle Award).  Recipient, the LAMBDA Literary Award for his anthology 'What I Meant Was' (2000).
