Theatre director of classical plays.  Has been a director with the Royal Shakespeare Company and associate director with the Royal National Theatre, but is perhaps best known for her collaborations with her life partner actor [[Fiona Shaw]]. Their association began with Warner's interpretation of Sophocles' Elektra, and is famous for her casting of Shaw as Richard II.
