Host of the television show Soul from 1968-1973 on the PBS television network. The show celebrated Black culture, community, art, and life with an array of Black musicians, activists, and political luminaries.  Subject of the award-winning documentary 'Mr. Soul' (2020).  First black producer at PBS.
