Film and theatre actor.  Began as a Shakespearean actor and transitioned into film, notably in a large number of war and action films such as 'The Hill' (1965), 'Moby Dick' (1956), and 'The Charge of the Light Brigade' (1968).  Partner was [[Basil Hoskins]].
