Since 2005, Executive Officer of the NSF Division of Chemistry. Interests include research and education activities in chemistry, including those at the interface with biology, environmental science, and increasing the participation and advancement of women and minorities in S&E.  Deputy division director in the National Science Foundation Division of Materials Research.  Chemistry faculty member at Georgetown University, 1989-1999.
