Award-winning poet, including the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Artistic Excellence (2009), and the Oscar Wilde Award (2007).  Awarded the prestigious Chicano/Latino Literary Prize in 2005.  Founding Member of CantoMundo, a national retreat-workshop for Latina/o poets.  Teacher of English.
