Foreign correspondent for the Washington Post in Bogota, Colombia covering Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. Previously reported on gender and family issues for the local desk, with a focus on the LGBTQ community. Joined The Post in 2016 as a reporter on the Morning Mix team, covering news overnight from around the country and the world. She also worked as a reporting fellow for the New York Times. Recipient of the 2020 National Headliner Award, first place for news series.  Received the 2020 NLGJA Award for The Association of LGBTQ Journalists Excellence in Long Form Journalism Award.
