Playwright and actor.  Recipient of the first New York Times Outstanding Playwright Award for his trilogy 'The Brother/Sister Plays'.  Former International Playwright in Residence at the Royal Shakespeare Company.  Life's story is the subject of the film 'Moonlight' (2016), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.  Producer and director of the television series 'David Makes Man' on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network).  Wrote script for the Netflix basketball drama 'High Flying Bird'.
