Whole school approach was recognised by Ofsted as ‘a centre of best practice’ for successfully tackling homophobic bullying.  Developed her ‘Educate & Celebrate’ teacher training and resource programme since 2010 drawing on her experiences of implementing the most effective strategies in the classroom and using feedback from delegates to inform best practice.  LGBT Schools Advisor for Birmingham and Durham City Councils, and works with many schools, colleges and universities across the UK to make them LGBT-Friendly by following her 'Educate & Celebrate' programme to create centres of 'best practice'.  Active union member and a regular public speaker and writer on LGBT issues.
