Description

Founder, Homosexual League of New York. Tthe first openly gay person on East Coast television through his appearance on 'The Les Crane Show'. Considered a principal force in moving the gay righst movement from passive to public activism. Co-author of the book 'The Gay Crusaders' (1972). Member, Gay Activists Alliance. Inducted into the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association Hall of Fame (2012). Legally changed his name to his pseudonym, Randolfe Hayden Wicker.
