Television show presenter for his hit show 'A History of the World in 100 Objects'. Board member, National Theatre and the International Advisory Board of the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg. Appointed Honourary Officer of the Order of Australia (2013), Order of Merit, and Fellow of the Order of Antiquaries.
