Description
Lead singer and co-founder of the alternative rock band Mashrou’ Leila, a group which is known for their controversial lyrics covering topics such as homosexuality, gender equality, and political and religious freedom. Made headlines when the group was banned from playing in Jordan due to his homosexuality (2016). Notable albums include 'Mashrou' Leila' (2008), 'El Hal Romancy' (2011), and 'Ibn El Leil' (2015).
