Former Australian Greens politician (1983-1993), medical doctor, environmentalist, former Senator and former Parliamentary Leader of the Australian Greens (2005-2012). First openly gay member of the Australian Parliament, and first gay leader of a political party in Australia. Founder of the Bob Brown Foundation, an environmental activist charitable fund.
