Fellow of the International Academy of Sex Research. Considered to be America's first openly gay high school sports coach. Author of his autobiography 'Trailblazing' (2000), and the books 'Inclusive Masculinity: The Changing Nature of Masculinities' (2009), 'The Monogamy Gap: Men, Love and the Reality of Cheating', (2012), 'Sport Theory and Social Problems' (2010), 'Training Games Coaching and Racing Creatively' (2006), and 'The Runners Textbook' (2009).
