Transgender Adjunct professor at the Hawaiʻi Institute of Marine Biology with an expertise in studying sexual diversity in nature. Professor Emeritus, Biology Science at Stanford University (1972-2011). Author of numerous books on ecological and evolutionary theory, notably 'The Genial Gene' (2009). Recipient, Stonewall Book Award (2005). Born Jonathan Roughgarden.
