Elected as Attorney General for the state of Michigan (2018), being the first openly gay Attorney General elected in the state's history. President of the Fair Michigan Foundation, an anti-hate crime task force. Formerly served as an assistant prosecutor, a civil rights attorney, and a defender of indigent defendents.
