Description

Feminist and LGBTQ rights advocate. Founding president of Brit Tzedek v'Shalom and the Community of Learning Women, and a past president of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival. Member of the Knesset (parliament) from 1973-1977, coming out as lesbian after this period. Member of the Advisory Council, J Street (advocacy group to end the Arab-Israeli conflict) and founder of the Jewish Alliance for Justice and Peace. Author of her autobiography 'Exile in the Promised Land: A Memoir' (1990).
