Principal and founder, Robert A. M. Stern Architects. J.M. Hoppin Professor of Architecture and Dean of the Yale School of Architecture. Former Professor of Architecture and Director of the Historic Preservation Program at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at Columbia University. Director of Columbia's Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture (1984-1988). Author of numerous books on the subject of architecture. Hosted "Pride of Place: Building the American Dream," an eight-part, eight-hour documentary television series aired on the Public Broadcasting System. Member, Board of Directors of The Walt Disney Company (1992-2003).
