Description
War poet and British army officer who died in World War I. Notable collections include 'Marlborough and Other Poems' which was published posthumously in January 1916 and immediately became a critical success. His Collected Letters, edited by his parents, were published in 1919. Among 16 Great War poets commemorated on a slate stone unveiled in Westminster Abbey's Poet's Corner.
