Democratic Party Senator in the State of Vermont legislature since 2015. Senate Majority Leader since 2017, and was also appointed Chair of the Senate Sexual Harassment Prevention Panel. In 2020 she was elected president pro tempore, beig the first woman and first member of the LGBTQ+ community to hold that position.
