Description
Historian and activist of the LGBTQ community. Editor of the "Bibliothek rosa Winkel", a series of over 70 volumes of gay literary reprints, cultural studies, and historical works. Wditor of the book series "Homosexualität und Literatur" (12 volumes, 1981-1999) and a coeditor of the scholarly journal Forum Homosexualität und Literatur (1987-2007). In 1986 he was a founding member of the German LGBT organization Bundesverband Homosexualität.
