Description
Orthodox Rabbi, often considered the first openly gay when he came out in an article in the Israeli newspaper 'Maariv' in 1999. Senior Teaching Fellow and Director of Diversity Project at CLAL – the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, since 1985. Author of the book “Wrestling with God and Men: Homosexuality in the Jewish Tradition” (2005). Founder of the Jerusalem Open House, the Holy City’s LGBT community center. Scholar in Residence, Bonai Shalom, Colorado.
