Description
Classical orchestra conductor and resident music director of the South Florida Symphony. Won the Stokowski International Competition (1994) and made her debut with the American Symphony Orchestra. First Cuban-American invited to conduct the National Orchestra of Cuba in Havana. Her work 'Freedom Crossing' was premiered to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Mariel Cuban boat-crossing in which thousands risked their lives to gain freedom.
