Description

Composer, conductor and saxophonist. Music covers the range of jazz and classical to rock and roll. Noted for his experimental and avant garde compositions. Established the Tzadik record label in 1995 to present his recordings. Has composed concert music for classical ensembles and orchestras, and produced music for opera, sound installations, film and documentaries. Recordings include 'The Big Gundown' (1985), 'Spillane' (1987), Spy vs Spy (1989), Naked City (1990), and Filmworks 1986–1990 (1992).
