Feminist writer and poet. Author of many books including 'In My Mother's House' (1983), 'The Flame Bearers' (1987), and 'My Life as a Boy: A Woman's Story' (1997). Partner was fellow writer Renate Stendhal with which they co-wrote 'Sex and Other Sacred Games' (1989), 'Cecilia Bartoli: The Passion of Song' (1999), and 'Lesbian Marriage: A Love & Sex Forever Kit' (2014).
