Former Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands (2024) and Minister for Climate and Energy Policy (2022-2024). Member of the municipal council of Nijmegen (2010-2017). Formerly with the Dutch railway authority ProRail. Awarded Spain's Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit (2024).
