Description

Philanthropist who is considered the last Princess of Hawaii. Her philanthropy benefited indigenous Hawaiians and contributed to the preservation of their culture. She founded The Abigail KK Kawananakoa Foundation in 2001, setting aside $100 Million of her estate to support native Hawaiian causes. Headed up the Friends of Iolani Palace, a high-profile preservation group. Inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in 2018. Also known as Princess Abigail Kinoiki Kekaulike Kawānanakoa, and the nickname Kekau.
