Description

Award winning novelist and playwright. Inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2002, with many awards including Officer of the Order of Canada in 1985. leWritings have been characterized as 'Southern Ontario Gothic Style', and notable books include 'The Wars' (Governor General's Award, 1977) and 'Pilgrim' (1999). Author of several theatre drama plays, including 'Elizabeth Rex' which played at Stratford Festival of Canada and on television. Partner of William Whitehead.
