t Film and theatre actor, notable for his role in the films 'Rebel Without A Cause', 'Giant', and 'Exodus'. One of Hollywood's first out gay actors, his offers for films declined as he aged. Was murdered after a rehearsal for a new play in Los Angeles of 'P.S. Your Cat is Dead'. His life is the subject of a recent film, 'Sal' (2013).
