Description
Novelist and journalist for the newspaper Sun Sentinel in Miami, Florida. Formerly with the Boston Globe newspaper. Recipient of the Pulitzer Prize (2000) for his team's coverage of the pre-dawn raid by federal agents that took the Cuban boy Elian Gonzalez from his Miami relatives and reunited him with his Cuban father. Also wrote about the assassination of fashion designer Gianni Versace. Instructor at Emerson College in Boston. Author of several gay-themed novels.
