Christian Democrat member of Parliament since 2013, being the first elected gay politician to Parliament in Chile. Publicly criticized the national government for the country's lack of LGBTQ rights. Former mayor of the city of La Granja between (1992-2012), and president of the Chilean Association of Municipalities (2005-2007), (2009-2011).
