Description
President, State University of New York (SUNY), Potsdam, since 2014, and Professor of Sociology. Formerly Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Salem State, and Deputy Provost and Associate Provost at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Previously chair of the sociology department and a tenured faculty member at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and director of the women's studies program and a tenured professor of sociology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Author of three books and numerous articles and publications on qualitative research methodology, gender, and sexuality. Notable publications include (with co-author John Wooding) 'Divided Conversations: Identity, Leadership, and Change in Public Higher Education' (2013). Member, LGBTQ Presidents in Higher Education.
