Painter, part of the Bloomsbury group. Notable for his post-impressionist portrait work and landscapes. Designer of textiles and theatre sets. Worked extensively in the design and furnishing of the RMS Queen Mary. Had a lengthy relationship with John Maynard Keynes and poet Paul Roche, among others.
