Author of gay and lesbian fiction who often invoked the ire of censors for his sexual writings. Throughout his career he published over 50 novels. Considered one the stewards of the 1960s gay pulp fiction market. Books include 'The Why Not' (1966), 'The Man From C.A.M.P.' mystery series (1966-1968), and 'Avalon' (2007).
