Description
Theatrical producer of both stage and screen, he was one of three founders of The Famous Players Film Company (1912), which merged into Paramount Pictures and is today owned by Viacom. Noted for his support of the new play 'Peter Pan' by James Matthew Barrie. Life-long partner was theatre critic Charles Dillingham. Died in the sinking of the Lusitania.
