Description
Editor and librarian at Auraria Library in Denver, Colorado and Associate Dean for Access, Collections, and Technical Services. Co-edited (with Cal Gough) the 'Gay and Lesbian Library Service' (1990), a book which provided librarians concrete strategies in selecting books and improving services for LGBTQ patrons. Vocal advocate for LGBTQ librarianship. Co-chaired the ALA GLBT Round Table, and served on a number of advisory boards, including the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies (CLAGS) International Resource Network. Servied as one of the first co-chairs of the former ALA SRRT Gay & Lesbian Task Force, as well as the first editor of WSS Links Lesbian Sites. Recipient of the Career Achievement Award from the American Library Association (2012).
