Description

Mountaineer and social entrepreneur. First Peruvian woman to climb Mt. Everest (2016) and the first out gay woman to complete the seven summits (2018), where a mountaineer must climb the tallest mountain on each of the seven continents. Survivor of childhood sexual abuse and an advocate for fellow survivors through the organization she created, Courageous Girls (2014). Her work in survivor circles is widely praised and celebrated, especially her work organizing trips to Everest for women who survived abuse like she did. Recognized by Fortune magazine as one of the Corporate Heroes of 2015. Member of The Explorers Club.
