Description
Track athlete racing the 100m. Competed in the 1932 (Gold) and 1936 (Silver) Olympic Games. Determined to be Intersex after an autopsy on her death, with both male and female genitalia. Competed in several U.S. championship races under the name Stella Walsh. Also competed in discus throwing. Moved to the U.S. during the war. Inducted into the U.S. Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1975.
