Professor of Philosophy at the University of Nottingham, a psychologist, and writer. Member of the Bloomsbury Group. Author of numerous books on sociology and psychology, including General psychology(1937), Sociology (1949), Social psychology (1952), Science and social action (1954), and Human groups (1958). Had a romantic relationship with John Maynard Keynes and Lytton Strachey. Full name is Walter John Herbert Sprott. Also known as Sebastian Sprott and Jack Sprott.
