Description
Film director and writer. Professor of Art & Design at Auckland University of Technology. Research covers the historical metamorphosis of underground languages, methodological approaches to creative practice in higher research degree education, the reconceptualisation of doctoral research, and the role and nature of storytelling as academic inquiry. Notable for the film 'Boxer' (2022), and the short films 'Sparrow' (2016) and 'Munted' (2011). Author of the book 'Disobedient Teaching' (2017). Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (UK), and a member of the Designers’ Institute of New Zealand and the New Zealand Screen Directors’ Guild.
