Description
Retired transgender woman appointed as a Master of the High Court (2010) after serving as a Deputy (since 2006), being the first such individual to hold the post and the youngest individual ever. Resigned in 2024 after disparaging the legal system's acceptance of a transgender judge. Specialized in civil and family law during her practice, and author of a series of legal handbooks. Formerly known as Victoria Williams before she married her partner. Psychologist. Author of the first five editions of the Civil Procedure Handbook, the Surveillance and Intelligence Law Handbook for Oxford University Press (as Victoria Williams), and the White Book.
