Olympic Gold medal winner in the road race in 2012, in the Track race in 2008, and Silver medal road race winner in the 2024 Paris games. World Champion in road racing in 2006, 2012, and 2013. World Champion in cyclo-cross (2006, 2009–2014, 2022). A founding member of Le Tour Entier, which campaigned for a Women's Tour de France and improvements to women's cycling generally. Recipient of many awards, including Cyclist of the Year, Sportswoman of the Year, and others.
