Description
Filmmaker and contemporary artist. Notable for the films 'Serpant's Tale' (1994) and 'Journey to the Moon' (2009). Participated in the 48th Venice Biennale where he presented 'Women Who Wear Wigs'. Short-listed for the Turner Prize (2004). Won the Carnegie Prize for his work 'Küba', a 40-channel installation filmed in a poor enclave by that name in Istanbul, in 2005.
